Plain-English summary. Sawd is software that helps you organize your finances, prepare your taxes with AI, and connect with an independent licensed CPA who reviews your return. We’re not a law firm, we don’t give legal advice, and using Sawd doesn’t guarantee a particular tax outcome. Please read the full terms below.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Sawd’s websites, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”), provided by Sawd (“Sawd,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Sawd is (and is not)

Sawd provides financial-organization, accounting, and tax-preparation software, and facilitates a connection between you and independent, licensed certified public accountants (“CPAs”) who may review and sign off on your return. Sawd is not itself a CPA firm, a law firm, an investment adviser, or a bank. Sawd does not provide legal, investment, or individualized tax advice except as delivered by an independent CPA through the Service.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Tax preparation & filing

Sawd’s AI assists in organizing your information and preparing your return; a licensed CPA reviews the return before it is submitted where CPA review is part of your plan. You are responsible for reviewing and approving your return before filing and for the completeness and accuracy of the information you supply. Filing is subject to eligibility and to applicable IRS and state requirements and availability. Sawd does not guarantee any particular refund, tax liability, acceptance, or outcome.

5. Fees

Certain features require payment. Applicable fees are shown before you incur them. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated at the point of sale. We may change pricing prospectively with notice.

6. Your content & data

You retain ownership of the financial data and documents you provide (“Your Content”). You grant Sawd a limited license to host, process, and use Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete Your Content as described in the app.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to breach security, submitting unlawful or fraudulent information, reverse-engineering the Service, or using it to violate any law or third-party right.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates third parties (for example, financial-data connections, payment processing, and payroll). Your use of those services is subject to their terms. Sawd is not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sawd does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular result.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAWD WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid to Sawd in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Sawd harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Changes & termination

We may modify the Service or these Terms; material changes will be notified. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or as required by law.

13. Governing law & disputes
